Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Shaban founded Dominion Women’s Health, Inc. in 2002 where he is happy to call his home. He believes in establishing relationships with his patients so he can address the individual concerns of each person. He enjoys being able to see the patient through the problem and provide the best resolution for the patient.

Dr.Shaban specializes in identifying causes and treatments for heavy periods, abnormal bleeding, fibroids, endometriosis, and menopause.  As the Director of Minimally Invasive Robotic Surgery for Intuitive Surgical Epicenter, he has extensive knowledge and experience performing hysterectomies using the daVinci Robotics. However, he performs many procedures in the office such as Myosure, a treatment for fibroids as well as MonaLisa Touch to alleviate vaginal dryness. Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy is a solution which he has found has helped hundreds of women experience a better quality of life.
