Dr. Danny Shaban

Dr. Danny Shaban

Dr. Shaban was born and raised in Richmond Virginia. He speaks Arabic and Spanish and is the President of Dominion Women's Health. He received a B.S. in Biology from the Virginia Commonwealth University and his M.D. from Ross University School of Medicine in New York. He has held position with the Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in Bronx, N.Y. as OB/GYN Resident/Administrative Chief; Arc Venture Medical Education Services as Chief Medical Education Facilitator and Northern Virginia Doctors Hospital as a House Officer. He is a member of the AMA, ACLS, Richmond Academy of Medicine, AIUM, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, ACOG and the Memorial Regional Medical Center Credentialing Committee. He has written many articles as Publications, including, but not limited to; The Knowledge and the Use of Birth Control in the Year 2000; The Future Needs of Minority Women, Incidence of Spontaneous Abortion in Teenage Minority Women The Knowledge and use of Emergency Contraception in Minority Women. Dr. Shaban in married and lives in Virginia with his family.

Dr. Thomas Mead

Dr. Thomas Mead

Dr. Mead is a licensed OB/GYN with DWH and comes from Jones Memorial Hospital where he was Chief of OB/GYN. He has a B.S. in Biology from the State University of New York in Albany. He received a Medical Doctorate from State University of New York and a residency in OB/GYN at the University of Rochester. He received the Gilford W. Wilson Award for compassionate resident physician. He is a member of the Richmond Academy of Medicine, The Medical Society of Virginia and American College of OB/GYN. He is a volunteer with the Adolescent Sexuality lecture at St. Margaret's High School and the Family Life Lecture at New Kent High School.

Dr. Biali Espinosa

Dr. Biali Espinosa

Dr. Espinosa received his medical education at Universidad Central del Este in Dominican Republic, and completed his residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine affiliated Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in Bronx, New York were he was OB/GYN Administrator Chief Resident and awarded Resident of the Year in 1998. Prior to joining Dominion Women’s Health, Dr. Espinosa served as an attending physician at Bronx Lebanon Hospital and as private practitioner in New York City.

Dr. Espinosa is a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, also been named a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist. He is a member of the Richmond Medical Society, Dominican Medical Society, and Richmond Obstetrical & Gynecological Society. Dr. Espinosa is fluent in Spanish and English.

Outside of his dedication to women’s healthcare, Dr. Espinosa interests include baseball, basketball and latin dancing.

Dr. Zvonko Spasic

Dr. Spasic is a licensed OBGYN with Dominion Women's Health. He graduated from the The University of Sarajevo,Medical School in Bosnia and Herzegovina where he recieved a Medical Degree. He completed residency training in OBGYN at the Medical College of Virginia where he held a position as Chief Resident and was awarded with the Wetchler Award for teaching and leadership. He is a member of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Medical Association, Richmond Academy of Medicine, Medical Society of Virginia and American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

Dr. Wendy Bowman

Dr. Wendy Bowman

Dr. Bowman was raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and moved to Richmond, Virginia in 1992 to attend the University of Richmond. At U of R, she was a University Scholar and earned a B.S. in chemistry. She received an M.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Eastern Virginia Medical School and her M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia. She completed her residency training in OB/GYN at Wake Forest University Medical Center (formerly known as Bowman Gray) in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
She is a licensed OB/GYN, junior fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a member of the Richmond Academy of Medicine, and the Medical Society of Virginia. Dr. Bowman is interested and experienced in all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology care, including routine and high risk pregnancy, gynecologic surgery, adolescent gynecology, infertility, and menopause management. Dr. Bowman is married and has two children.

Nazy Carter, COGNP

Nazy is a nurse practitioner and has over 14 years of Women's Health experience. She has related experience as a registered nurse. She graduated with a Master's Degree in OB/GYN from Medical College of Virginia in 1988 and has a B.S. from the School of Nursing. She is skilled and experienced in counseling and patient education with particular interests in STD's, family planning, nutrition and exercise counseling, PMS counseling, prenatal education, and breast feeding.

Claire Murphy, WHNP

Dominion Women’s Health is proud to welcome our new provider, Claire E. Murphy to the practice. She is a recent graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Nursing where she received her nurse practitioner training with a Master’s degree. Ms. Murphy is trained in the very latest in health care promotion and disease prevention, in the women’s health field. Her special interests include prenatal care, contraceptive counseling, preventative care for adolescents and counseling for the perimenopausal and menopausal woman.

Nicole Bentivegna, WHNP

Nicole Bentivegna

Nicole received her Master's Degree in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a board certified women's health nurse practitioner. She joins the practice with experience in post-surgical and prenatal care from the VCU Health System. Nicole has been educated on the very latest in obstetric and gynecologic care for females of all ages. Her special interests include family planning, conception counseling, breastfeeding, and the prevention and management of common women's health conditions. Nicole speaks Spanish and enjoys spending time with her family here in Richmond.
